Mueller Comes on Board

Well, my Nomar Garciaparra fantasies are gone. Bill Mueller signed to play third base for two years today. This is a good move (I was biased towards Nomar) because Bill is an above average hitter (EQA under .270 just once in his career when .260 is the average) and a solid fielder. The one thing he lacks that Nomar has is homerun power, and I hope somebody else (JAYSON WERTH, THAT IS YOU!) will step up to fill the void.

Grade on the move: A Minus

You needed this redemption, Ned!

UPDATE: 2 years for 9.5 million (4.75 per year)
The grade goes down to a B Plus because I think it was a slight reach.
